Two Social Security Disability programs for two different needs

When many New Jersey residents think about Social Security, they imagine the federal program that pulls money out of their paychecks and holds it until retirement. However, there are two separate disability-based programs: Social Security supplemental income and Social Security disability insurance. These programs are available to those unable to work due to a qualifying medical condition.

Supplemental income through the Social Security Administration is available to those who cannot work and who are in need of financial assistance. Individuals must apply for this program and can be denied, if they do not follow the requirements of the application process.

Disability insurance is paid out to individuals who have worked and paid into the Social Security system, who then become unable to work due to either a qualifying illness-based disability. Like individuals who wish to pursue supplemental income, those who wish to receive disability insurance payments must also apply and qualify based on their conditions.

Both programs serve a real need for New Jersey residents, as well as those who live throughout the nation. Unfortunately, some people are unsure of how to seek out the benefits they qualify for and the financial support that they desperately require. Abromson & Carey, Attorneys at Law, practice Social Security Disability law for the purpose of supporting and guiding those who wish to pursue benefits from the mentioned federal programs.

Through the recognition of the differences, each client brings to the disability benefits application process the attorneys of Abromson & Carey give the men and women that they serve the individual care needed to pursue their benefits' goals.
